Safety. The intersection at the corner of Grove Avenue and Stafford Avenue is a dangerous intersection, a direct walkway to and from Fox Elementary School as well as Ms. Babs' Nursery School. On April 4th, 2015 Joe Cafarella of Ms. Babs' Nursery school sent a citizen request for a four way stop to be installed which was denied by the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) due to volume requirements. This is not the main concern for this intersection, the main concern lies with safety of children passing across Grove Avenue and the rate of speed cars are going at the blind spots of that intersection. Please Help Sign this petition for us to send to City Council and all whom are responsible for installing a four way stop at this location.

Thank you everyone who has signed our petition! With last weeks very serious accident we have been in touch with our City leaders and council members. However this is not enough to make it happen, we still need your help for one last very crucial step. Please email Kimberly.gray@richmondgov.com to clarify our severity on this issue. So this petition is being re-opened as the safety issue is still a major concern at this intersection. Please find the time to sign this petition as I believe children walking from Fox elementary as well as my preschool, Ms. Babs' Nursery are constantly in jeopardy with cars driving with excessive speed through this four way intersection. With a new mayor, new council members and fresh ears to hear our concerns, I believe this petition may help save a life.

We have made some progress! Today I received an email from a council member that is taking this concerns to public works, bump outs may be an option, possibly a round about , please share this on your fb walls as all the signatures really help! Thanks
