Ask the Salem City Council to Vote No on Rezoning the Simms Property

Located in the heart of East Salem, the Simms property is surrounded by neighborhoods on Upland Drive, Diamond Rd and Franklin St. R.Fralin companies has proposed to the City of Salem City Council to develop the property with high density housing. There are many infrastructure issues plaguing the neighborhood from dangerous intersections, sewage back-flow, sub par non functional fire hydrants, traffic and flooding. Ask the City to vote NO to this development at this time so these issues can be addressed. A plan should be in place before one of the last largest undeveloped pieces of land in the City which sits at the pinnacle of a watershed prone to flooding is developed.
