For years I have driven by a backyard breeder of pit bulls. It breaks my heart to see them chained in all types of weather with shabby dog houses. Most are skinny and very sad looking. Animal control always states there is no law against this and the dogs are fine. They have been out numerous times over the years. My response is always the same in that there should be a law against it. What gives anyone the right to cause so much pain and suffering to these sentient beings? I would like to see all dogs licensed. And breeders must be licensed to breed with certain restrictions. If they need to be vaccinated then they can also obtain a license.
