“[She] is a wonderful nutritionist who has helped many people in a life death situation.”

-Sally A. Ungerer, CHN, RN,

“Personally, I have lost a substantial amount of weight, resolved a number of health issues, gained a better understanding of health and nutrition and improved my eating habits as a result of working with [her].”

            -Aleda Stamboulian, Teacher

"When I visit her office , I always eat and shop in Liverpool. Congratulations on a very well run and spotless clean Village."

                  -Robert Warner, Attorney

“When I worked in a community mental health program affiliated with [St. Joseph's Hospital, she] volunteered to come to the center for a fall activity we had planned and which was attended by over 100 families. She brought examples of different foods and methods of food preparation that would provide good nutrition for their children. She brought easy to read informational sheets and instructions. Most were low income people residing in ‘food deserts’, with little access to the quality of foods most Americans take for granted.”

-Meg Sullivan, MA, MSW, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker

“She’s knowledgeable, she’s professional, she’s ethical, and she’s one to go the ‘extra mile’ for folks in a time of need. I can speak for my patients when I say she’s truly been a blessing to all of us.”

            -Cruse C. Howe, DC, DBCS

Who is this person everyone speaks of so highly, bringing health and life to her community of Liverpool, New York  Patricia Serrao, Masters in Nutrition, with more than 15 years of experience in assisting clients who are interested in improving their health through better nutrition and healthy changes in their lifestyle?

However, after 13 years of being a tenant in good standing at her office on Second St in  Gleason Museum  in the Village of Liverpool, Patricia Serrao, Nutritionist  has been given 30 days notice to vacate her office in the Historic Gleason Museum building. She was told she brings in too much traffic in the building which is a public building and many people come and go all day that are unrelated to her business. She was also told that she has been there too long, yet she is not the longest tenant in the building.  She was told there was security issue in the building and  she actually paid for upgrading in the building security. She is very cooperative tenant and has worked with any and all requests of the building to help preserve its history and help promote the museum and the local businesses in the Village of Liverpool. She has also done many free education seminars to provide assistance for people to maintain their health and wellness.

She has brought many clients to the Village of Liverpool and Patti has helped many people over the years of have helped them with their nutritional needs and has giving much free or discounted help to those who could not afford or were in need. Also many who have come to her office have handicap needs and transportation issues as well as chemical sensitivity issues of which her current office has supplied these options. If she has to move her office, she will no longer have an handicap accessible building with a ramp.   Due to lack handicap accessible space, affordability, and a chemical free environment, Patti will be forced to move out of the Village of Liverpool, and could be force to raise her rates and may result

in the loss of her nutrition business.

Many of her clients have traveled from all over the New York State and  Central NY  areas to  the Village of Liverpool just to come to see her. While people are there, she always promotes the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, concerts in the park and other Village events.  Many have followed her recommendations on local places to eat in the Village of Liverpool for healthy eating and great weekend entertainment at the Café 407, and to buy healthy groceries at Nichols and to attend yoga at CNY Yoga studio. Many of her clients top in to Freedom of Expresso and get a cup of coffee and sit and wait until its time for their appointment .She has make others aware of  the Free Wegmans Wellness Exercise programs down at Onondaga Lake, as well as other local  practioners such as massage therapists and chiropractors in the Village as well.  She has suggested to them many of the local shops and places to visit such as the Museums and parks in the Village of Liverpool. Many of her clients fuel up their vehicles  in the Village before returning back to the areas they go to and many have gone to the local banks and library before or after they come to see her.

By signing this petition I am acknowledging that the Village of Liverpool should maintain a continued annual lease with Patrica Serrao and allow her to continue the use the office space she needs to maintain her clients handicapped accessible and other needs to and promote the local Village businesses and amenities.

We ask you  to support this local Liverpool small businesswoman along with her support of the local Village small businesses on her quest to maintain the convenient location her special needs clientele have come to rely upon.

Please sign this petition and forward to your friends as well

Finally,if you are in support of this cause,

On May 20th at 7 pm the Town Board Meeting, many of her clients will be there to ask that the Village of Liverpool grant her the ability to stay and function her small business. Please come to support this cause if you are in favor of having her stay in the Gleason Building the Village of Liverpool. This meeting will be held in the building next to the Gleason Building at 310 Sycamore St. Liverpool, NY 13088.

If you aren’t able to make it, call the Village offices and let the Liverpool Village Board know you support Patti Serrao staying at the Village of Liverpool Gleason Museum  457-3441
