Deny the 216-unit apartment complex in Hunter Pointe

Good morning Councilman Fennell & Councilman Overton,

We are writing you in the hope that you will vote NO on the new 216-unit apartment complex that Civil Site Design has proposed to build across from the Fairway Farms subdivision, located off Long Hollow and Highway 386. The Mayor and Planning Commission denied the request at Monday night’s meeting (GMRPC RESOLUTION NO. 2OI7-82 3-4646-17), and the folks living in Fairway Farms really hope that the City Council will do the same. The traffic on Long hollow and 386 is already very congested, and adding this many new residents in a multi-family project cluster would make the issue exponentially worse. While the folks in the Fairway Farms neighborhood are not opposed to growth, we would like to see that growth remain mixed-use commercial and retail. Our current infrastructure can’t handle a large new apartment complex. It seems like this is especially true considering the other new apartment complexes that are being built, or approved to be built, in close proximity already. We sincerely hope that you can help us on this, and thank you for your efforts in advance.

Respectfully,

The Residents of Fairway Farms

Update #16 years ago
Hi Everyone - thank you for signing! Please check out the update on our Facebook group page about a discussion and some thoughts from Councilman Overton. He has some points that he asked for us all to consider.

I promise that I won't send you all any more email blasts - this is the last one I will send. Just want to make sure everyone is aware of the Councilman's input.
