The Anaheim City Council is, again, currently considering giving away almost an acre of land, at Brookhurst Park, in District 1, located at 2271 Crescent Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801. This land giveaway would be to a local non-profit group for $1 a year for 55 years. The Parks and Recreation Commission already voted "No" 4-2 against the giveaway. While we support non-profit services, we DO NOT SUPPORT GIVING AWAY OUR PRECIOUS PARK LAND. Our park space is for active play and activities, conducive with PARKS. We need splash pads, pools, dog parks, outdoor workout equipment, soccer fields and baseball fields. Anaheim needs to commit to MORE space not LESS. Keep park land for parks. This park land belongs to the people of The City of Anaheim.
