CAMEROON: CALL FOR AN INCLUSIVE NATIONAL ROUND TABLE

Together, Let Us Rebuild Cameroon!
Our Call for Peace, Dialogue and National Renewal
Cameroon is going through a decisive period in its history. In the face of political tensions, institutional crises and challenges that threaten national cohesion, it is urgent to seek consensual solutions to safeguard our common future.

We, Cameroonians living both within the country and abroad, call for the convening of an Inclusive National Round Table bringing together the nation's vital forces, civilian and military stakeholders, and the diaspora.

Why an Inclusive National Round Table?
Because Cameroon's future cannot be built sustainably without sincere dialogue, mutual understanding and the participation of the different components of our society.

This Round Table should make it possible to:

Reform our institutions, promoting a better balance of powers and an independent judiciary.
Promote peace and national cohesion, particularly by seeking a lasting solution to the crisis in the Northwest and Southwest Regions.
Reform and modernize our democracy, strengthening the transparency and credibility of the electoral process.
Build national consensus on the reforms needed for Cameroon's future and establish the foundations of a Pact of Refoundation.
We want these discussions to be conducted impartially, inclusively and transparently, with concrete commitments arising from their conclusions.

Our Demand
We call on the President of the Republic and the Government to take the initiative in convening this Inclusive National Round Table, in consultation with the various components of the nation.

We invite political leaders, civil society, traditional and religious authorities, the defence and security forces, young people, women, and Cameroonians in the diaspora to support this call.

Cameroon is our common home. Its future requires dialogue, responsibility and everyone's commitment.

By signing and sharing this petition, you help amplify this national demand and make citizens' voices heard in support of a peaceful and consensual solution.

Together, let us rebuild Cameroon!
