Call on Congress to End Deforestation Policies

Corn ethanol and soy biodiesel are a bad idea. They are contributing to climate change, killing native habitat for precious wildlife, and increasing food prices.

Further, the laws that force us to use soy biodiesel are a main cause of deforestation. Palm oil production in southeast Asia is of special environmental concern, as it spurs the clearance and burning of peatland and tropical rainforests.

There is only one way to stop this-- Congress must act.

Let's call on Congress to reform the Renewable Fuel Standard to break our addiction to corn ethanol and soy biodesel immediately.
