JUSTICE FOR MYA

Hello i am the mother to Mya Bryant. My daughter is only 15 years old. She have been getting bullied by a 16 year old. She would come home and tell me the girl have been picking on her and i told Mya to stay strong and ignore the girl. Mya say i have been doing that. On 12/11/18 at Denbigh high school in Newport News i get a call saying my daughter have been in a fight. I go up to the school and i ask to be with my daughter and for like 5 min the school staff ignored me and then finally after i had to snap they finally let me see my daughter. My daughter was upset and hurting in pain. She say mom it's the girl that's been picking on me! Then on that day the bully kept following behind my daughter and said Mya I'm gonna fight you outside and ect...... the bully plotted and succeeded in what she wanted to do to my daughter ( pulled her hair, punched her in her head, sat on my daughter chest, and the bully posted a video (as the bully say ( HER FIGHT)) and i show the school assistant principal and she say can we have the video and i said yes and i asked them to call the police they ignored me at first then they say we can't call the police and i can't file charges until tomorrow and That i can just go down the street to the police station so i did that and they said i have to come back tomorrow because they would have to speak to the officer that be at the school so i took my daughter home and then the girl kept posting more videos on instagram and her friends was too and then they would have people call so my daughter can hear what they are saying about Mya ( Mya got dragged, Mya got beat up and so much more. ) so i decided to go back to the school and call the police myself and the police officer came up there and then came to my house to talk to my daughter Mya and get the report done. On 12/12/18 the police that be at the school ask me to send her videos and then i can have the girl information to go file charges so i waited for the email from the school but nothing so that night the officer came to give me what i needed to go file the charges. ( charges are now filed)
The school failed to help my daughter. As adults watched and did nothing. The school Denbigh high is trying to sweep it under the rug. The school denied me help when i asked for help.

What i would love to see happen:

Bullies and the kids that have been bullied to come together.

like create a program in school for this.

Bring the BIBLE back in school because with out GOD nothing will get better. We really need this.

counceling programs in schools that help kids that bully and get bullied. 

Do more for the kids. There is too much violence in the world
