this petition is for every animal that has been mis treated,abandoned,abused and been made homeless.I want the Government to make it more difficult for peope to gain ownership of an animal.I want to see an end to back street breeders, I want to see all animals microchipped and details updated when moving house or changing phone numbers etc.I want to see dog licensing brought back , we have to register our cars, why not animals?? I want to see animal abusers with instant fines of up to £500 for minor neglect offences.If an animal is hurt/injured as a result of abuse they should be sentenced to prison for no less than 5 years. More severe cases resulting in death then a sentence of 10 years imprisonment, no reduction in time for good behaviour. I need you all behind me 110%, people who cause irreversable damage to these animals everyday and get away with a slapped wrist we need proper punishment and that needs to start here with signatures on this petition we can change things. There are too many animals dying and being pts as a result of irresponsible ownership. It will make people think more before going buying pets on a whim without taking into account,they need to take responsibility for them.
