It is a common occurrence for postal workers to fear dogs; mine is hesitant of my little Chihuahua barkers although they only want to lick and play. Well, Mr. Arturo Flores and his sister have larger dogs that are totally fenced in. To make it safe for the mail lady, in compliance with her concerns, the family placed the mail box on the outside of the fencing.
Then the mail carrier complained the dogs could still reach through the fence; the family remedied that problem by installing mesh chicken wire type protection all around the fence. The dogs cannot reach anything or anyone through the fence. Additionally, because the Flores’ were robbed a few times, they have installed a surveillance camera in the front where the dogs reside within the fenced area.
The camera caught the postal worker spraying the dogs with pepper spray on at least 3 instances while delivering the mail; before depositing the mail and twice while walking away, causing harm to the animals eyes hindering breathing.
Someone needs to investigate this postal worker and make her accountable for her actions. They know who she is. Workers are assigned territories and know always who is covering a certain area, whether it is the regular carrier or a standby. Why is the post office not taking action in favor of the family? They have taken every step possible to ensure the safety of the postal carrier; there is no reason that she would spray the animals with a toxin that causes harm after the family ensured her safety. Southern Los Angeles Post Office and Police Department – You need to look into these allegations that have been caught on tape. The postal worker exclaimed concerns to the family who did everything requested to ensure she could safely deliver the mail. Video caught the female postal worker on tape spraying the dogs just because they were barking even though there is no way they could cause her any harm. She sprayed them at least three times during her mail deliveries. This is clearly animal abuse and cruelty exhibited by this postal worker who should be fully investigated and charged for harming the animals for no reason. Dogs bark and naturally protect their home and property but the owners provided a totally safe environment for delivery of their mail, abiding by the concerns of the mail carrier. Despite their efforts for her safety, she went ahead and harmed the animals with pepper spray! Make her accountable for her actions!
