Bring gender equality to a structured school!

The hair policy in Floydada High-school is outdated, and it is very sexist. There is no reason for hair a natural thing; be limited to only men of this school. the school is hiding this behind the excuse that longer hair for MEN is a distraction, but I don't see how it is a distraction for men but not women. What I plan to do about this is to get the hair policy changed but not by very much. They say that our hair now has to be above collar height. I want this changed to allow men to have their hair just below their shoulder blades. I believe that this will allow men who like longer hair to continue their pursuit of an education whilst not being harassed. If the role were flipped however women would not get the same punishment. Here at the school I have seen girls with shorter hair then I have and the teacher won't tell them anything but when my hair is touching my collar I get sent to the office, put in ISS, and I am not allowed to go back to class unless my hair is cut. This is unjust because I have seen girls with shorter hair than me and they don't get told anything. All I ask if for you to sign my petition to make our school a more gender equal environment
