Save Green Brook EMS

  • by: Richard Sturtevant
  • recipient: To stop the township committee from out sourcing ems services

The Township Committee is voting to decide the fate of their volunteer emergency medical technicians who provide medical services to the residents of the Township of Green Brook and mutual aid assistance to surrounding communities evenings from 6pm to 3am and full weekends. They claim that they need to save money yet have been very generous in giving 2 department heads raises and back pay, Our entire budget was their compensation. We have provided other support for community events which are services that a paid service will not provide for and if needed somebody will get their bill. The paid service will directly bill their patients approximately $600 per call far more then the small amount of tax dollars it takes to keep our service free, which only amounts to approximately .03 cents on the dollar. We need your help, your voice must be heard before we are gone forever! Township meeting with be Monday March 3,2014 unless bad weather please check ahead because they may push their vote in hopes the public stays away!!
