It is in the best interest of the community for the speed limit to be reduced to 25 mph. This would protect the pedestrians, lessen the probability of car accidents and would reduce the cost of law enforcement having to issue citations for moving violations. In addition, it would help local businesses protect their clientele who come to shop and dine.
