Force Legislators to protect Police K9's & Horses and give them lifetime health care

When police K9's are shot, stabbed, kicked, punched, they get free health care while they are active (employed) but if they can not return to duty and are forced to retire the handler must pay huge bills out of pocket in the thousands most times for on going care. If the handlers get a pet insurance plan that injury is preexisting and will not be covered forcing some to euthanize or rehome because they do not have the funds. This should never happen ever in this country they are owed lifetime health care it is the very least we can do for them.

When offenders harm or kill Police K9's who are actually police officers the sentences range from slap on hands to minimum prison sentences this must change right now. For any offender who kills a K9 there must be a minimum sentence of 8 years and asset forfeiture to assist in the funeral costs, monument, casket, any other costs incurred. When offenders harm a K9 and/or cause the loss of limb or forced retirement they should be given minimum 5 year prison sentence with asset forfeiture to assist with all costs, equipment, medical, etc.

We demand the Police Horses protect us in riots, events, other large gatherings where they have been attacked and hurt like the K9's the bills are huge and if they are forced to retire the hanlders are stuck with enormous bills so they to deserve lifetime healthcare.

We the people who reap the rewards of the Police K9's & Horses unconditional loyalty and love every day of our lives owe them this. We have waited for the government and the legal community long enough and now it is our turn to speak as clear and loud as we can. Please help! Thank you for your time! Imagine if we could get enough signatures by Christmas wouldn't that be an amazing gift to show them!!
