US college admissions scandal Joint petition by chinese student

To universities involved in bribery scandal:

Recently, the most serious US college admissions scandal has been exposed in US, which invloves SAT/ACT management, elite American universities like Yale University, Stanford University, USC etc.

Subsequently, Federal prosecutors charged more than 60 weathy parents, teachers, and intermediary agents, the parents includes Hollywood star, top executive of large enterprise, partner of a well-known law firm, and even government politician.

As a Chinese student, we felt very shocked and disappointed after knowing students actually utilize such disgraceful ways to enter our dream school.

Every Chinese student has a renown school dream, which is also the dream of our parents. For fulfulling these dream, we have paid countless efforts that most people can't imagine.

However, this scandal completely shattered my fantasy of my dream schools. The cheating parents sent their children to elite Universitis by dirty means, but at the same time robbed the hardworking students of their dreams.

Over the years, Chinese students have been paying high tuition and maintaining high-level academic performance, but we have been limited in all aspects. Although we have been working hard, we have not received corresponding returns, even the fairness of education is difficult to maintain right now.

We know that the competition to enter elite University is fierce, but we do not want to be eliminated by these dirty tricks.

Fairness has always been the root and foundation of the school's academic qualifications, which is still the pure land that cannot be polluted by money.

On behalf of all Chinese students, we hope the school will take the college admissions scandal seriously, punish all the involved personnel and staff, give public a reasonable explanation, and most importantly, maintain the fairness of University admission and provide all students with a fair competition environment.
