Support Better Funding for America's National Parks

As a nature lover, I love the beauty and environment witnessed in so many of our national parks.  Whether it is to just view the scenery, find a quiet place for a small picnic or take a stroll on one of its numerous paths, our National Parks have so much to offer that is breathtaking to most.  Not only are these parks for human pleasures, there are various numbers of wildlife that call these areas their home and habitat.

Keeping these areas in pristine healthy conditions requires time, money and maintenance.  The concern is a proposal presented to the U. S. Congress, suggesting a substantial increase in funding for the national parks. https://secure.npca.org/site/Advocacy;jsessionid=B7A1EC34FBCB1545716F01A1DFABEB57.app314b?pagename=homepage&page=UserAction&id=1613&autologin=true&AddInterest=1084 is more information on the issue and protecting our parks. Such a budget is crucial for keeping up with the needs and challenges/changes that many of America’s National Parks are encountering.

The effort in this petition is to encourage Congress to stand up for national parks and support the proposed budget.  You can take a stand in helping to conserve America’s National Parks by signing and sharing this petition, adding your own comments and thoughts.  Such a budget is crucial for the conservation and beauty of these parks for our pleasure and as a habitat for various wildlife.

U. S. Congress – America’s National Parks are crucial for our environment and pleasure, not to mention providing home and sustenance to many various species and wildlife.  I am in full support of the increase in funding that has been proposed for the Fiscal Year 2017 for these gorgeous national parks.    With the celebration of the National Park Service Centennial Year, increased funding is necessary to keep up with the many challenges, changes and maintenance that is required to keep our parks healthy and beautiful.  Please ensure we have your full support and ensure the National Park Service has the funding and resources it needs to fulfill that mission.
