Ask Trump Not to Tweet About North Korea During the Olympics

With the Winter Olympics set to begin in South Korea this week, let's call on President Trump to refrain from tweeting about North Korea during the duration of the event.

President Trump has had the world on edge regarding his frequent and juvenile tweets aimed at North Korea. In January, he tweeted:

"North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.' Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!"

The president also tweeted calling Kim Jong Un "Little Rocket Man" a few months ago, further stoking tensions between the U.S. and the dictatorship.

Americans do not want to see an unhinged president handle foreign policy challenges in a way that could inspire nuclear war! President Trump seems to take his tweeting lightly and does not realize the very real danger he puts Americans in when he directs aggressive statements at the world's most terrifying and inhumane regime.

The Olympics are meant to be a time of global camaraderie, where people put their political differences aside to showcase sportsmanship. We, the American people, are concerned that Trump will wreck the goodwill nature of the Olympics by tweeting recklessly about North Korea.
