On 4/3/2018 it was reported that a lorry carrying five elephants crashed in southeastern Spain. It overturned on the a30 in Pozo Canada near Albacete. As of now one elephant has died and two were injured.
Video footage on social media shows the elephants walking in a daze and one standing near the badly inquired elephant laying on its side barley moving in a ditch.
The circus is reported to have put on shows during the Easter weekend. Circus cruelty to animals is no news. Though it is shocking that these circuses continue to run while practicing neglect and harm to their animals.
These elephants are victims of this accident but it is no accident that they endure tremendous cruelty in order to perform for the circus.
The goal is to make sure the elephants get the treatment they need to recover and then transferred to a proper sanctuary where they can thrive.
