"A bill to ban the sale of certain animals at retail pet stores passed the New York State Senate Tuesday.
"The bipartisan bill was approved by a vote of 47-13. If signed into law, the legislation would prohibit the sale of dogs, cats and rabbits at pet shops and work with other organizations to "showcase cats or dogs owned by certain entities for the purpose of adoption"," reported ABC.
