Please sign and share this petition in an effort to demand the harshest penalties possible for those responsible for eight horses that were found in abused, deplorable condition. So far, charges have not been filed but these animals cannot express how poorly they feel without proper care and nourishment. Let's be their voices and help them on the road to recovery.

In recent months, the Vermont Spring Hill Horse Rescue of Clarendon was alerted to and saved eight highly abused horses. This case was being investigated in Rutland County for some time until the rescue was able to go and save these poor animals. The local animal cruelty alerted the authorities and the horses were finally rescued.

Each of the eight horses rescued were in various stages of neglect and cruelty. Three of them were removed and placed with the Spring Hill Horse Rescue for a re-feeding program, veterinary and farrier care.   The five remaining horses were found at a later date since they were illegally moved to another location. With the assistance of law enforcement, they too were rescued and now being attended to.

Join us in our efforts to be a voice for those poor, abused, neglected horses and ensure that these owners are punished to the fullest extent of the law. Please sign this petition and share it on all your media sites to spread the news and get a conviction.

Vermont Law Enforcement & Judicial System - For some reason, no charges have yet to be filed against those responsible for the 8 neglect and abused horses in Rutland County of Clarendon, VT. These animals suffered some devastating injuries, neglectful care of their coats, fur and hooves as well as malnutrition. The horses cannot protect themselves and speak out and we encourage that you charge these people, implementing the highest, harshest form of punishment allowed by law, at least 8 counts of felony animal cruelty. Additionally, the people should never be allowed to ever own or care for another animal for the rest of their lives. Anyone who abuses animals should be punished and never given a second chance to repeat such cruelty.
