Stop the Downgrading of Honley Ambulance Station

This petition is supported by #HandsoffHRI Honley Ambulance Station serves a rural area of Dearne, Holme and Colne Valleys South of Huddersfield with a population of 56,200. Yorkshire Ambulance Service are consulting on downgrading the cover to 1 full time ambulance and 1 to cover at peak times, The station is only meeting the target of being at the scence of a red 1 (life threatening) call 20-30% of the time instead of the 75% government target. So YAS answer is to further cut provision

Dear Mr Macklin

we the undersigned request the discontinuation of the downgrading of provision at Honely Ambulance Station.   We believe that the rural areas of HD7/8/9 are being targeted for a reduction of services as they are hard to cover, and targets can much easier be met in the more urban areas, so funding levels are then achieved.

This action will put the lives of 56,200 at risk.  The reduction of cover in an already failing service is a nonsense.  Our lives matter as well.
