Used Plastic Bottles are Piling Up! We Need Rubbing Alcohol Refilling Stations Now!🇵🇭

The COVID-19 pandemic has left us scrambling for ways to protect ourselves from the virus. Here in the Philippines, disinfection by way of rubbing alcohol use has gone up significantly and the used plastic bottles from said product are piling up fast!

We need to put an end to this by putting up rubbing alcohol refilling stations at point of sale where rubbing alcohol in individual plastic bottles are being sold. Supermarkets, convenient stores, malls are the most accessible spots where these could be set up.

The rubbing alcohol manufacturers could definitely help the environment in a big way. By putting up refilling stations, the need for plastic bottle packaging will be significantly reduced, which could also improve their margins in the long run since the packaging cost would be virtually eliminated. A win for the manufacturers and most especially, a win for the environment!

Environmentally-responsible companies like Nutri Asia and Messy Bessy in the Philippines have been running an established refilling system long before the pandemic hit, showing us that this could be done.

I sincerely believe the time has come for the rubbing alcohol industry to follow their footsteps so that aside from helping to slow down COVID-19, they could also help protect the environment along the way!

Let's make it happen!!
