Reinstate Coach Joe Tribble Immediately

As several students, colleagues and parents have said numerous times, in many ways, better than I can repeat here . . . Coach Joe Tribble is simply the most inspirational teacher/coach that any of us have encountered. His impact has been life-changing for hundreds, if not thousands, of students.

It is quite possible that his current absence is simply a leave of absence, to give him an opportunity to recharge and refocus his efforts so that he can continue to influence students for decades to come. Unfortunately, it is also possible that he is on a short but direct path to being removed from Westminster, at a time and in a way that minimizes the administration's legal exposure.

I don't know which of these futures is most likely right now. I hope that the administrators in charge realize how critical Coach Tribble is to Westminster, how he is one of only a handful of teachers that makes Westminster the very best school in Southeast if not the US. I also hope they realize that without Coach Tribble, there is little left to really distinguish Westminster from Lovett, Pace, Marist, and other Atlanta private schools.

But what I do know, unequivocally, is that these same administrators pay very close attention to donations, fundraising, and efforts to raise money to support their programs. Therefore, I am asking you to sign the following petition in which you pledge to never again donate any money to Westminster unless Coach Joe Tribble is reinstated as both a history teacher and Cross Country/Track coach at Westminster. Lets be honest with ourselves, how special is a school that would consider getting rid of Coach Tribble?
