Encourage Estée Lauder to end animal testing

I created this petition with the intention of encouraging Estée Lauder to reconsider its values, and involvement in the Chinese market where its products are being tested on animals.

Estée Lauder Companies Inc. products are sold in over 150 countries under many different brand names, including MAC and Clinique.

China law requires cosmetic products to be tested on animals, and Estée Lauder allows this so that they don't risk losing revenue.

Although they do not own these animal-testing facilities, its silence contributes to a cause that is supposedly against its policy.

According to Digiday, Esteé Lauder reported an overall sales growth of 40% in China for 2017. And the E-commerce sales increased by 50%. If Estée Lauder were to consider withdrawing from the Chinese market, it may encourage the Chinese government to make changes to its regulations regarding animal testing on products since there is such a high demand.

This change isn’t only important for the rights of the innocent animals involved, but for this company’s integrity.

MAC Cosmetics claims to “be a leader in the movement to end animal testing globally”, but how can a company claim that title but allow its products to be tested on animals?

I hope that this petition shows Estée Lauder how many people are aware that it is contributing to unethical practices overseas, and prompts it to make changes for the sake of the company, its customers, and the animals.

I want to buy cosmetics from a company that makes me feel beautiful and that I am proud to represent. I would love to buy their products, knowing that they stand for what they believe in.
What is more important, money or morals?
