15 DOGS WERE KILLED IN COLD BLOOD UNDER DOCTOR'S COMMAND

    To whom it may concern,

First of all I’d like to pray for everyone to come out of this pandemic strong and healthy.
Secondly, I’d like to raise awareness about a case in my country, Vietnam. If possible, please let the world hear about it, too.

As you might have heard, Vietnam has been battling the 4th wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. One of the most struggling city is Ho Chi Minh city. A lot of people who are facing unemployment and poverty have had to leave Ho Chi Minh after a long lockdown period of 4 months. One of them was a middle-aged couple who had to travel to their hometown, Ca Mau, with their motorbike and brought 15 dogs with them due to restrictions and no available public transportation.

Unfortunately, when they reached their destination after passing 308km, they were tested positive with Covid-19. Their 15 dogs should have been taken care of by their neighbors while they go on quarantine, but the truth of what happened was never what both of you and I expected. They put the poor dogs in bags then drowned and burnt them with the discretion of a doctor, believing that they could carry and spread the virus.

The journey of the lovely couple and their dogs went viral on Facebook these past few days. Everyone prayed for them to be safe, but our hearts were broken by this act of barbarism and ignorance. The dogs got killed brutally in cold blood thinking they had finally made it home.

Currently, people are very angry and upset about this situation. For more information and picture for proof, you can google “15 chú chó về quê”.

I hope the organization, with your influence, will help us, animal lovers. to speak up, so more of the world know what is happening here in Vietnam with animals during the pandemic, about this barbaric act in the country where there is no law protecting animals, and finally, to make those cruel individuals be held accountable for their actions.
