Rapper Meek Mill was sentenced to two to four years in prison for violating probation stemming from a 2008 drug and gun conviction, for which he already served 8 months. Mill failed a urine test and scheduled concerts in areas he wasn't allowed to.
The city prosecutor didn’t recommend sending Meek to jail for this, saying he has been clean since January and has grown since the original crime. But Judge Genece E. Brinkley sentenced him to jail anyway.
That means Meek Mill was just sentenced to more prison time than these killer cops COMBINED:

Jay Z stood up for Meek: "The sentence handed down by the Judge – against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer – is unjust and heavy-handed," Jay-Z said. "We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career."
She sends everybody to jail for probation violations, even when black men are trying to do right. She just sends people away because she can and these people are out here doing the right thing. She is bitter and doesn’t need to be a judge controlling someone else’s life!! #FreeMeek #FreeMeek #FreeMeek #FreeMeek
