"A necropsy performed on the dog that died in the custody of Off Leash K9 Training Tri-Cities found starvation to be the cause of death.

"The necropsy on Dallas, a 9-month-old miniature bull terrier, was performed at the UT Veterinary Medical Center in Knoxville. Officials with the Washington County Animal Control had known the results days prior but wanted to wait for the official report before issuing any statements on the cause of death.

"Randi Laferney, owner of Off Leash K9 Training Tri-Cities, and Andrew Hunigan, one of her trainers, are both charged with aggravated cruelty to animals in the death of the dog," reported NBC.
