Disappearing Victims

Now come the victims and friends of victims to the toxic effects of the April 20, 2010 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig and move the United States Congress to conduct hearings on the judicial proceedings before the Honorable Carl J. Barbier in the case In Re: Oil Spill by the Oil Rig 'Deepwater Horizon' in the Gulf of Mexico, on April 20, 2010, MDL 2179 in the United States District Court, Easter District of Louisiana in that thousands of injured victims have been denied claims to which they were entitled due to questionable 'bait and switch' tactics by the defendants regarding dates of exposure versus dates of diagnosis, the Court has failed to set any back end litigation matters for trial on the merits, and victims – particularly chronic injury victims, have no access to medical evaluation and treatment, notwithstanding the requirement for such access contemplated in the MEDICAL BENEFITS CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT.

WHEREFORE the undersigned petitioners pray that the United States Senate Judiciary Committee and the United States House Judiciary Committee schedule hearings and call witnesses to determine the reason 1) for the denial of claims, 2) for the Court's failure to set matters for trial, and 3) for the reason for no access to medical evaluation and treatment for the victims of the toxic effects of the April 20, 2010 explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico.
