SAVE THE AURORA-SINAI LOBBY PIANO

I regularly play the piano and constantly hear from people how they enjoy the music. I have heard from others about the piano's generally rehabilitative presence, and experiences they have had with it.

I recently inquired with hospital administration about tuning the piano, and was informed they do not intend to. In addition, administration is considering removing the piano from the lobby altogether. PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE WITH OtHERS!

I intend to deliver this petition to hospital administration to demonstrate popular interest in maintaining a working and well-tuned piano in the lobby. If you would like to submit input separate from this survey, feel free to visit administration, located on the 4th floor.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

Administration said the reason for this decision is that the piano, which is a player piano (meaning, it has the ability to play by itself), costs about $500 to tune, and needs tuning every month or so because of the amount and, in some instances, *manner in which* it is used.

I propose hospital administration:

- solicit quotes from specialists regarding possible costs and appropriate intervals for tuning
- and/or explore replacing piano with a non-player piano that will be more affordable to tune
