Batley Bulldogs fans say NO to being used as a reserve team by Huddersfield Giants

Although Batley Bulldogs have agreed a 'partnership' with Huddersfield Giants that allows us to use their medical insurance to cover player injuries, up to press we have not seen an influx of Giants squad members into our first XVII - which is currently happening at Swinton (devoured by Warrington) and Hunslet (devoured by Leeds). Hopefully this will never happen, as it would consititue a total loss of pride and dignity for our great club. At Batley, we have traditionally fought against the odds - with success, ever since the club was founded over 100 years ago. Losing our identity by handing over any independence would be an insult to all those who have been involved in ensuring we still have a club to support. Thankfully, our club has a hard-working chairman and board of directors who are long-standing fans of the club and genuinely have the best interests of Batley Bulldogs at heart. The situation at Hunslet and Swinton is one that may never cross our path, however please sign this petition and make them aware that this is not something that Batley Bulldogs fans would EVER support.
