Louisiana law rightfully bans private ownership of tigers and other dangerous wild animals. There are a few exemptions, for accredited facilities but the law itself is clear. Despite this, Governor Bobby Jindal has signed a new law which creates a shameful loophole, exempting the owner of Tony the Truck Stop Tiger from Louisiana state's existing animal-protection laws.

We the signers of this petition ask you, President Obama and the Attorney General, Eric Holder Jr to uphold state law and do not allow preferential treatment to be granted to one individual.

Show Americans and the world wide community your compassion and love for animals, by ending the cruel and inhumane exploitation of this living, feeling, sentient being.

Please issue a Presidential Executive Order to send Tony the Tiger to a reputable sanctuary.
