SAY NO TO SYOSSET PARK

The Town of Oyster Bay wants to utilize the old Cerro Wire/Landfill property on the service road to the LIE & Robbins Lane to build a 93-acre "sub-city," consisting of townhouses/condos, restaurants, hotels, movie theater, shopping, commercial buildings, and a park, all on top of a former Superfund toxic wasteland (Superfund sites are the most toxic properties of all & require the Federal government to manage clean-up).

While the site is no longer considered a Superfund, and some remediation has occurred over several decades, it is in no condition to be developed (now considered a Brownfield, which is an industrial/commercial site effected by environmental contamination).

It is abandoned land, but by no means safe. Think Erin Brockovich. It's that bad. We want to stop the project dead, before our residents suffer further. Sign the petition to stop this bad idea from becoming a reality.
