Protect our Kids put Speed Bumps on Pratt Rd

Pratt Rd is located right behind the Hughes Springs Junior High School. Every day I drive to the elementary school to pick up my younger children and drive back down Pratt Rd to literally have to hold traffic so my 13 and 15 year old can cross the road from the school entry and walk to our home which is located right in front of the back entrance for the Junior High. Every day I am constantly seeing careless and reckless drivers driving through this very narrow road at speeds up to 40mph, regardless of school zone in affect,  if kids or joggers are around or not. On Friday May 3 2019 one of my children had left out front door open and our small dog got out. Our family pet was not on the street but very close to it on our neighbors property. As I called my dog to get back to our property. I could hear down the road a vehicle coming at a very high speed. The man driving the pick up truck saw my dog almost to my driveway and presided to floor his pick up and almost sticking our 7lb chihuahua. I was shocked and screamed at my dog also at the man driving and stated to him to "Slow down this is a residential area and you almost hit my dog". The man then stopped his vehicle to make racist remarks towards me and my children who where in the front as this was happening.

To make matters worst he came back to my property this time accompanied by his wife who attempted to get out of the vehicle trespass into my property and assualt me. This is a very dangerous situation and this altercation would have never happened if the motorist driving on this road had no other choice but to slow down. If speed bumps where to be in place not only will it help the constant speeding but protect our kids who have to cross this road also our fellow neighbors who jog to the Baseball field or those who drive their ATVs on this road. I hope we can all come together to solve this very dangerous but fixable problem.
