During President Biden's rousing State of the Union address, prominent members of the Republican Party hooted and hollered to the point that their "leader" Kevin McCarthy had to hush them from the dais.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, and a slew of others all disgraced themselves by screaming out "liar" and performing absurdly dramatic gasp-shock-pearl-clutch reactions to the president correctly accusing them of wanting to cut Social Security.
Kick the rude Republicans off their committees if they won't apologize!
This kind of behavior is completely unbecoming of elected politicians, who seem to treat their jobs as their own personal bully pulpits rather than a sacred duty to fight for the well-being of the voters who elected them — as evidenced by the refusal of many to clap or stand for Biden hailing the reduction of insulin prices for millions of Americans.
Those Republicans who behaved, as Sen. Chris Murphy put it, "like blind drunk hecklers at a basement comedy show," must apologize to President Biden and the American people — or face the consequences.
Censure the Republicans who heckled Biden's speech!
