Stop Littering! [GFS]

In the U.S., 4.39 pounds of trash per day and up to 56 tons of trash per year are created by the average person.


litter can also kill people, especially animals because their not as advanced as us. in particular there is land and marine litter.


Litter that is tossed into the ocean can travel long distances with the currents and winds.
Plastic bags and plastic wrap can asphyxiate marine animals and fish.
Metal scraps and broken glass can cut the flesh of birds and other animals.


Land litter is not hard to spot and comes in all types -- cigarette, plastic bags, old tires, fast food wrappers and plastic and glass bottles.
It can cause vehicle accidents and injuries, smother plants, start fires and harm or kill animals. It also attracts rats and harmful bacteria.


Now we can't stop all the litter in whole world, but we can start small. So we can take away about 5minutes from each lesson on a specific day for each form and at the end of lesson 6 that form would go to the roof and canteen and clear all the trash. this would make the students concious of the litter they make, and forms would take turns to do so.
