Save our Trees

Would you like to have a welcoming tree-lined entrance to the Town of Woodside? Would you like to buffer I-280, enjoy a protected trail, a shaded bike lane and a more beautiful road? If so, then we need your help to convince San Mateo County Public Works to stop the destruction of healthy oak saplings (as pictured above) and cooperate with efforts to transform the barren stretch of Cañada Road just outside the town limits.

We are developing a plan for additional planting and long-term maintenance and are working with the Woodside Community Foundation to establish funding. With the support of Woodside Mayor Chris Shaw, we will be meeting with Supervisor Don Horsley on June 26th. Being able to show community and countywide support will be key to moving forward.

This is the northern gateway to Woodside, let's make it beautiful.

Update #15 years ago
We met with Mayor Shaw & Supervisor Horsley who was very supportive.
Public Works agreed to let us care for the re-sprouted Oak trees & plant 15 new Oaks.
Your support created this positive outcome! Thank you!
We are negotiating with a contractor to do the work within the next month & are setting up a fund with the Woodside Community Foundation so donations can be tax deductible.
Please stand by. Next we will be asking for donations to make it happen. Tell your friends.
