Save London's Green Spaces!

There's more to London's open green spaces than Hyde Park. Two-thirds of London is green space, much of which is useful to wildlife.

Hyde Park alone is an important habitat for dozens of bird species including the goldeneye duck, the eurasian jay, and great cormorants.

But Londoners can't sit back and assume these amazing resources will always be there. Worldwide, the pressure to develop open spaces -- frequently driven by greedy building contractors -- is tremendous.

The London Assembly Environment Committee is asking for public comment on London's green space. Tell them to protect London's green spaces, by all means!

We the undersigned thank you for giving us the opportunity to comment on the value of London's green spaces.

We love London's parks and wildlife habitats. Hyde Park alone provides an essential habitat to dozens of bird species including the eurasian jay, the goldeneye duck, and the great cormorant. Obviously, protection of these spaces should be a top priority.

Please do everything possible to protect London's green spaces from uses that would compromise their natural beauty and value to humans and wildlife.
