Gas pump warning labels on all gas pumps in Winnipeg

Our Horizon has created gas pump warning labels, and wants every gas pump to have them to warn everyone who uses the fuel that they are contributing to climate change by using the harmful substance. West Vancouver, Ontario, and many other provinces have begun to use them. Except for Manitoba.

That is why I am creating a petition to have all gas pumps in Winnipeg labeled with these warning labels. This will demand for a lower carbon emission from everyone, and make them question, why are we using such harmful substances? This might also make them want to change to low carbon transportation alternatives, like walking, biking or taking the bus. Once we have enough signatures, I will bring the petition to city council of Winnipeg.

Climate change is not a joke. Especially with only 7 years left before climate change is irreversible, I am scared for my future. My generation is scared for our future. But we aren’t going to sit there and let the world rip our dreams apart. Like Greta Thunberg says, you are never too small to make a difference. We are going to take action now, right here and right now, by signing this petition. Because only together, we can make a difference.
