The Disney Wiki Type Up From This Petition:

On February 11 a petition was made to The Walt Disney Company to restore the original aspect ratio of the film to the Diamond Edition release. The other request the petition stated was to release the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack like its other Diamond Edition predecessors had before it. The petition has been proven affective by multiple people who feel the films current release was not up to par with other Disney releases.

The Letter To THE WALT DISNEY COMPANY

Dear Robert A. Iger & Alan F. Horn

This is the second time less then a year that the Walt Disney Diamond Editions have had a problem. Starting with the editing errors in 'The Little Mermaid', which a replacement program was started the same day of the release. Once again another Disney classic has been altered in it's Diamond Edition release. 'The Jungle Book' has been very noticeably cropped from it's original 4:3 display (full screen). We (the consumers) would like to view this film in it's original format in which it was meant to be seen. Another objective to point out is the omitted Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack. We would like to have the option to buy just the Blu-ray & DVD. If we don't have a need for the digital copy then why should we have to pay more for it. It seems like the company would do their best to please the fans and supporters, but the connection from the customers and company seem to be drifting away. Please give us what we have been waiting for as fans and movie movie lovers.

       Sincerely, The Fans & Supporters!

P.S In a nutshell we want the film back in it's original 4:3 format display & we want the Blu-ray & DVD Combo Pack Back (a.k.a. The Blue Diamond Edition Cover)!
