When people turn out to vote, Democrats win. That's not just a Democratic claim, it's bipartisan consensus.
On Fox & Friends, President Trump called in and explained that he could not agree to Democrats' provisions that would make voting easier because, "they had levels of voting, that if you ever agreed to it you'd never have a Republican elected in this country again."
It's understandable that Republicans would not want to allow provisions that would cost them their jobs. But here's the thing. This is the United States of America, ostensibly a democratic republic, and our constitution says voting is our right.
In other words, Republicans' opposition to making voting easier is about as un-American letting Vladimir Putin run campaign ads for you.
In the midst of a global pandemic, it is more important than ever that voting be made as easy as possible this November (an election that Trump cannot legally delay no matter how much he might want to). Anything less than allowing every American to securely vote by mail would be to endanger the lives of each of us — as well as the life of our democracy.
Add your name to tell Congress we demand nothing less than secure vote-by-mail elections nationwide to ensure everyone can vote THIS November!
