A major developer has requested a special use permit requiring a zoning change for the purpose of creating the Center Stage Development on 38 acres off highway 377 north of 1709 and just south of the 170 freeway and the Circle T Ranch. This variance if approved will convert this property from zoned commercial to Planned development/ Mixed use. If this is granted this developer has requested approval to build 550 apartments, 70 single family homes, a music venue or stage and retail buildings. Negative Impact to both fire and police services in addition to the potential of overcrowding KISD schools as well as creating an even greater traffic bottle neck along northbound and southbound 377 is of grave concern should this planned development be permitted.
o Approximately 1.377 acres of the 38-acre development will create the 11 retail/restaurants and planned music venue of this proposed plan
