Rhode Island Christmas Tree Matter. This petition was created to allow the citizens of Rhode Island to voice their opposition to Governor Chafee declaring the Official Rhode Island Christmas tree a Holiday Tree. By signing this petition I agree to the following points.
1. The lighted tree (so called holiday tree) that stands in the rotunda of the Rhode Island State House during the months of December 2012 is in fact beyond any doubt a Christmas tree.
2. I feel the Governor Chafee does not have the right to speak for majority of RI citizens on this matter.
3. I urge Governor Chafee to change his position on this common sense issue, and finally declare the Official Rhode Island tree a Christmas tree.
