Demand a delay in introduction of extension of ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone)

London's Mayor Sadik Khan has announced that from 25 October 2021 the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) will be extended to most of greater London. For any vehicle not complying with the ULEZ regulations, a daily charge of £12.50 will have to paid whenever the vehicle is used, even for a very short distance. The creation and expansion of the Ultra Low emission zone is significantly a step ahead in the fight against air pollution however, there are many small businesses at the moment that have seen their income suffering incredibly due to the COVID restrictions and 3 lockdown; most of these small businesses cannot afford right now to have to sell their old vehicle in order to buy one that conforms with the new laws and neither can afford paying a daily charge of £12.50. What we want is not to put a stop on the extension of the ULEZ, but to ask our Mayor Sadik Khan to take into consideration the hardship in which many small businesses have found themselves to be in since March 2020 and to give a little more time to them to be able to make themselves compliant.
We demand a delay in the introduction of the extension of the ULEZ.
