This monstrous 1.85 million square foot MEGA WAREHOUSE planned for 1 Red Lion Road will create numerous safety issues for our largely residential area. There will be an explosion of truck and van traffic. Intersections and crosswalks along Red Lion Road used by students and the elderly are already congested and present a real dangerous threat everyday.

This would be a clear overuse for the size of this humongous parcel of land that is surrounded by residential properties. Area residents are not opposed to development of the former Budd Railcar plant, but there must be a more environmentally sound alternative.

We DEMAND that our elected officials (1) become more transparent about what type of development is being planned for the area; (2) represent the interests of residents to the owner of the land and (3) find a more environmentally friendly use for the land that creates jobs and complements the surrounding neighborhoods.

Just a quick note: If you already signed this petition, THANK YOU! Please only sign one petition. Again, thank you and spread the word!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

The time is upon us to come together. UPS has scheduled a "Community Outreach" meeting for March 31, 2020 at 7 p.m. It will be held at the Community Room at the American Heritage Federal Credit Union at 2060 Red Lion Road, Philadelphia, PA 19115.

This is a real threat to the largely residential area surrounding the property at 1 Red Lion Road. We must come together for this common cause. The community needs our help! Attend this meeting and make your voice heard!

As expected, it has now been confirmed that UPS is the tenant that intends to open a distribution center at 1 Red Lion Road. Why is this property not still a Superfund site given the fact that Bustleton and Somerton have the highest incidence of cancer in the city? (

We must show up at these community meetings and pack the rooms!
