Lift the Pit Bull Bans in Wisconsin

As the owner of two pit bulls myself, I don't agree with breed-specific laws especially when it comes to pit bulls. Just because a few pit bulls may have harmed a person or another dog does not mean it is because of its breed. It is no different than judging a person by their race instead of their personality.

"Most breed-specific laws are created as a misguided response to a dog bite incident or attack. The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has found that no breed is more dangerous than another." - Lisa Spector

Cesar Millan (The dog whisperer/ dog expert and owner of pit bulls) also says, "The ideas of pit bulls being naturally aggressive is a myth. Any dog that is not raised properly by humans can become aggressive. With proper training, a pit bull can be as laid-back as a basset hound."

There are currently 68 cities in Wisconsin with bans, restrictions, and where pit bulls are considered "dangerous." So sign this petition if you want to get rid of the pit bull bans in Wisconsin and stop letting people judge our pits by their breed instead of their personality.
