Demand that West Midlands Police reinstate Deputy and West Midlands Police Crime Commissioner, Yvonne Mosquito.

  • by: Valton Brown
  • recipient: Police and Crime Commisioner - David Jamieson

Ms Mosquito, who denies wrongdoing, was suspended after it emerged she had visited Mr Phillips' family to pray with them after the 18-year-old was shot dead in Ladywood, Birmingham, last week.

A source said: "Yvonne Mosquito has been suspended as Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for visiting the grieving family of Kenichi Phillips in Ladywood constituency.

Kenichi Phillips, 18, was shot dead in Ladywood on Thursday night.

Subject:Demand that West Midlands Police reinstate Deputy and West Midlands Police Crime Commissioner, Yvonne Mosquito

I just signed the petition: "Demand that West Midlands Police reinstate Deputy and West Midlands Police Crime Commissioner, Yvonne Mosquito."

David Jamieson, the Police and Crime Commisioner has reported that Ms Yvonne Mosquito's visit to the grieving Kenichi family interfered with police investigations, hence the reason for the suspension.

Everyone who has signed the petition are calling for an active and compassionate servant of the community to be reinstated forthwith. It is evident from the response within the last two weeks, that she has played an active role in a community which is in need of such outstanding figures, role models and representatives. She speaks for the voiceless and stands in the gap for the helpless.

We are all frustrated by the timing and handling of the issue and great effort will be required by all of us to repare the damage already done. So, we call on you to do the right thing and call for the reinstatement of the only black, female Deputy Police Crime Commissioner.
