Student charged with animal cruelty after stuffing her cat in a jar (picture)
Taiwan student Kiki Lin posted a shot of her white cat jammed into a glass jar on her Facebook page. Outrage followed to which she replied ‘Ha, ha, ha.’
The cat can be seen in distress, with its face pushed up against the sides of the jar.
The image quickly began circulating online and animal protection officials have now charged her.
But the woman has refused to apologise, despite the outcry in response to the image.
"I only have three words for them, ha ha ha," she said of her critics in an interview with the China Post.
She went on to tell the China Post she was trying to work out a new way to take the cat out with her, because she wouldn't fit in a bag.
"I love her so much, and I was just testing out the most convenient method of taking her out. And I only did it once." she said.
