Ban Hound Hunting in California

"Hounding" is an inhumane and unsporting practice where trophy hunters use packs of radio-collared dogs to chase down bears and bobcats before the hunter shoots the terrified animal off a tree branch. Even alot of hunters consider this cruel and inhumane practice unfair and unsportsmanlike.

While mountain lions are protected from the cruelty of hound hunting, bears and bobcats are not.

California State Senator Ted Lieu has introducted Senate Bill 1221. It would ban hound hunting of bears and bobcats in the state of California.  Now it goes for a full senate vote. Please contact your Senators and ask them to vote YES, and support Bill 1221.
