Donald Trump has wielded tariff authority like a wrecking ball. Over and over again, with the stroke of a pen, Trump has imposed massive and impressively stupid tariffs that have disrupted supply chains, raised costs for working families, and injected instability into the global economy — all without a single Congressional vote — even though Congress holds the constitutional authority to regulate trade.
The Supreme Court just restricted some of his ability to do this, but he still has enormous power to wield his profound stupidity to do incredible damage (thanks to earlier acts of Congress). He just put a 15% tariff on Earth. Yes, every country. All of whom now hate us.
Congress can and must take these powers back, and end Trump's tirade. We can't have one person holding the Sword of Damocles over the entire economy — especially when that person is a moron.
